I remember now the things we had when we were one, the life I had during that year. You called experience! The memories at your place, and those Sundays in the woods. Emotional security I was looking for. I became aware of the bell-glass formed around myself. I was able to communicate but not able to embrace. And I wished I could escape from dreams I was living in. But right before I realised, another caught your eye. A scythe divides the two of us. I’m all alone again. A clear bright voice within me screams: “Nothing will remain the same!” For the meaning of my life… …I crawl up, to get back on my way! When going through deep despair in the desolate still of night. With no-one to turn to in my grief. No pack of tarot cards will show the way I must go. I am about to rely on myself. For the meaning of my life… …I crawl up, to get back on my way! Facing the precious gift, I received here on earth, gave me the energy to go on! No-one will interfere When I cherish love for my life. Life loves me more than you’ve ever loved me! For the meaning of my life… …I crawl up, to get back on my way!

Sometime at the start of spring, a man is wandering through the streets of Kent. He looks confused. It’s seems a place he doesn’t really belong. When you take a closer view, he stares absently right in front of him. He’s kind of weird. And now it seems, he is totally soaked from head to toe. Approached by policemen on patrol. He doesn’t say a single word. Shows no ID. They pick him up to find out who he is. The mental clinic is taking charge of him. “Give him paper and a pen to write”, “write down your name.” Instead of that, the lad just draws a piano. The quest for your person begins. Who are you? how old could you be? Will you be missed by some people you know? Is there a story to tell? The mystery surrounding the silence you keep, makes belief that still waters run deep. Simply the fact, you’re nobody to us might be something that we just can’t bear. Say who you are! You remind us a bit of a movie that we’ve seen. Come along! Is there something we can talk about. Down below! We’re diggin’ down below! Show what you feel! There might be a clue for the way you behave. So, talk to us now! There’s no more need to hide away. Down below! We’re diggin’ down below! There must be a way to express the emotions, the things on your mind. We can’t speak the language he might understand. We revert to a pure pantomime. There might be a chance the piano he drew, is a tool for him to find a way out. If he can’t talk maybe music will do. Let’s use all the means that we have. Hear what he plays! In a brilliant way! It’s a virtuoso! See what he does! His hands he moves in a Christian way: His left hand doesn’t know, where his right hand will go! Eyes of the world, they are watching now and they’re wondering who you are. In the world. Is it magnified, are they mystified? We’d like to know We’d really like to know The crazy world you try to fool is amazed by stories and dazzling tales, which makes the merry-go-round. It keeps the myth alive. The papers and the TV-news are hunting now, to report the scoop. With open ears and eyes, they are watching all your moves. What about all the fuss you brought about? Your strange behaviour has brought you fame. Only silence can be felt in the eye of the hurricane. Back into the journey of life, Nothing is quite what it seems. The fiction’s exploded, the bubble has burst. From headline to yesterday’s news. Leaving alone at the break of day, Shrouded in silence, back out of sight. Someone was there just for us to talk about, a character joined in our play. You were the one who just backed out of daily life. Took care of the need for diversity in society. You probably laid bare what the others didn’t dare. Now that you leave, please give us the word, the final word, the tricks of the trade. Is there something you can tell us now? “Time to go! I believe it’s time to go!”

The Statue 16:29
Find the stone. Simplicity within the forms of nature, contains the creature. Will soon reveal, By means of hands that found the way to shatter, to control the matter. They breathe life into a work that tries to tell the story. Awaken the mystery. See him stand tall. Representative of a man, or an ideology, or a fact in history. Moving towards the place they can admire pride and vanity. Somewhere in the middle of the market place. Surrounded by pigeons through all seasons he is standing there, as a moment frozen in time and space most people passing by that gentle piece of rock, will never have a clue of what he did, or who he was… Another year, another month, another day They’ve all been coming to see the man himself. Studied the creature in his former life and days. Nothing more than knowledge upon a dusty shelf . They all seem to try to touch the past, but the memory is of stone. And he’s all alone… Find yourself, within the memory of your own creation, stone incarnation. Your life will pass, and so will people who preserve traditions, stick to convictions. For many years, we hold on to a certain faith in values, embodied by statues. All of this will last until the icons all retire. The ideals we pursued, seemed a fragment of the truth. Breaking out, out of the pose you stand in. Moving on, to places you’ve never been. And when you awake from your granite sleep, your body is aching from head to toe. Fought down, your anger for many years. Fight back, making your right prevail. Show all of the things that you feel inside. You’re static no more, you don’t need to hide. Take part, in social activities. Talk about, things they’re concerned about. ‘Cause to know those who live in your neighbourhood, You just need to become the one you’re talking to. The moment has come to turn stone into flesh. Spectators around me are caught by surprise. You know who I am. That’s what you believe. But things they’ve been telling you may well deceive. For five-hundred years I’ve been doing this job. Lack of variety made me resign. I made up my mind. I go my own way. No-one on earth can persuade me to stay. I’m leaving the scene. In a way I’m displeased. Accepted the blows, then too proud to react. Wherever I may run, there’ll be no place to hide. The ghosts of the past they still bang on my door. Been waiting too long! To answer the call, that lived deep inside of me for so many years. Frustration runs high! The anger is there, to release all the energy needed to bring about change… Now! In places all over the world, Man has left us things which reminds us all, of who they used to respect. All through the ages. Sometimes it’s a cry for the past, a trigger they use to hang on to an order they try to maintain. To make you obey. And if you look into your soul. You might find some statues, built throughout your lifetime. There to appear, again an again. Then the dawn of an age, when the masses will go for a change. And statues obstruct the revolving stage. They will tear them down!

Sagittarius 06:47
Beyond the horizon shines a will to live through dark and grey, encouraging our expectations in the morning play. We look out over infinite oceans, always on the way While we all foster our naive illusions, we’re chasing for the day Like a dream on a string it’s dancing, hoping we all come along Crossing the boundaries north-south east-west, nowhere you really belong Nothing to lose but memories long past, heaven knows where you begun Seek for your aim in life. It’s the journey you will become. Time will change your point of view, if you will carry on. Look much further than the place where you stand, do you hear? Carry on! And when things go wrong when you tried, even then carry on. Every step you take is a will to get by, could you please carry on? The night falls and fears you no-one hears you when you start to scream and shout. Seems nobody’s here to save you you must break through to brave the darkest cloud. Why can’t I just believe in me, and prove myself with my own capacities. The light I am expecting though is the light I’ll radiate, regained from inner peace. Don’t be afraid, because they say: “The darkest hour is right before the dawn” Awareness is one thing but on the other hand, the choice is ours to make for the steps we have to take. Why worship higher things? Things much higher than ourselves, when the universe longs for our creativity! The morning comes, you feel the dew beneath your feet, from the grass you stand upon. And to your great surprise you realize that the horizon… reveals the sun.

Once there was a time, when I was still a man with pride, high in rank, I controlled the lower class. A man of honour, a member of the happy few. I remember all the dinners with the ministers. When I appeared upon the balcony, the mass began to cheer. They all looked up to me. I was king! The dream of everyone! But there’s a battle now, I seem to loose… Times change, values fade out. Those were the days they called me your highness. Now, I’m just a formality. I’m still proud of the members of my family. We were an example for society. I’m afraid for what must become of them. Maybe common people, who’s gonna know? And I can understand it’s for democracy, and the freedom of man, and the quest for equality. When my kingdom has ceased to exist, I can only carry a tragic defeat. Times change, values fade out. Those were the days they called me your highness. Now, I’m just a formality, in this life… You must remember what I realised. I reassured people when they were in doubt. The final decision was always on me. Remember! We were quite wealthy but that’s not the point. I dedicated myself to my land. We’re the institution who knows what you need. Remember! During the war I was an icon all commoners could rely on! No-one would have liked to stand in my shoes in those days! The responsibility I had to take was a heavy pressure for my sanity! Wherever people gather. There’s always someone who takes the lead. To prevent the crowd from going down in chaos. It might be pure nature’s law. And when the right collective mind did choose the one to perform the task, It’s up to him to reign in the knowledge That only justice is great! But he may come to identify himself with the power he carries out, absorbs it all within his own matter. It makes his empire implode. And then the same collective mind, beheaded of “His Majesty”, seems all back surrounded with chaos. Until the next one appears…

Prologue Of all the characters that pass out of the window, there is no-one who never lived a life. Some may be so fortunate that you remember them. Some may not be recognised at all. For each authority you meet within your daily life it’s clear, your father plays the role. For all you feel inside, provide for your own family, you will still hear your mother’s call. To find reality as for one’s personality, only near ones can witness who we are. Outside the door you have to be somebody else, but the mask you wear is known by everyone. The pretender’s parade Make up your mind, don’t hesitate. There is a place to defend. Maybe you’re right, maybe you’re wrong. Maybe you can’t comprehend. Something to show, something to hide. Here in this game you pretend. Never enough, there is a need to contend. Every look, every wink, Every movement you make. Every frown, every blink, Every smile that you fake. Keeping it all under control. Beware of the pictures they take. Never complain! They’re doing it all for your sake. Follow the script, study the lines, Try to rehearse on that phrase. Getting it right, polish your style, Aching for honour and praise. On to the stage, into the dark, Only a light on your face. Hearing your voice echo all over the place. Everywhere, you’re never alone, they seem to be always around. Look at the left, look at the right, you seem to be out of your ground. They’re willing to know, hoping to catch, every gossip or sound. Try to behave, you are the talk of the town! March on a place, get on the streets! Walk for the giant crusade. people abound, walking behind, follow you, all in blind-faith. Feeling ok, proud of yourself, for all the progress you made. you’re at the head of the pretender’s parade! Finale The lights fade out. The curtain glows. High hopes are focused on the play to come alive. Sit back and enjoy. Silence required. Tension is brewing in the air. The director is here, the props all around. Playwrights did the best they could to formulate the ripping words to hear, triggering your fear. Spectators hold your breath. Open the gates for the other world to see. The writer’s fantasy is supposed to be our destiny. Right from the start your walk-on part, is planned down to the last detail. Into the light where the leading men appear, you suddenly realize you are conditioned to revere. Using the tricks, the idée fixe Appearance still prevails. Sometimes I doubt the things I’ve seen. Is it all a lie or is it real? Find them next to you, find them in charge, The actors in the play. Ooh, calm down, my friend. The treasure of all sincerity is concealed within yourself. Ooh, calm down, my friend. Make them laugh, make them cry, emotions never lie. Let’s hope they start to cheer, when all the lights fade out! One by one, we’re going for the truth. Building the ideals that inflamed throughout our youth. Then a certain day, life’s mysterious way, meanders through the valleys of our minds. No-one is an island, no-one born alone. Looking for some kindred spirits to brave “The Great Unknown”. Losing the ideal, we bow to strong appeal. The most convincing one will get our vote. Find your own way! In this world of make believe, Every single trade is part of all the masquerade. Kings take the lead, while you paid for your seat. They jeopardise your place upon the board. But now it’s your move, go try and save your skin. Some of us will lose the game, some of us will win. No in-betweens, act on your dreams. Before the curtain falls… Sometimes I doubt the things I’ve seen. Is it all a lie or is it real? Find them next to you, find them in charge, The actors in the play. Ooh, calm down, my friend. The treasure of all sincerity is concealed within yourself. Ooh, calm down, my friend. Make them laugh, make them cry, emotions never lie.
